Greer Amps Lightspeed - Blue

Nick Greer has undoubtably some of the best ears for overdrive in the business, from the sweet and singing midrange of the Southland, to the intense raunch of the Supa Cobra, to the smooth and subtle colouration of the Lightspeed. Using words like "transparent" to describe this Harmonic Masterpiece insinuates a lack of depth and character, both of which this pedal has in spades. It adds a spongyness with out too much compression and clarity without being shrill - it can be a clean boost to smack your amp into shape, or it can be boosted to accentuate the beautifully positioned upper midrange that sits you so snuggly in a dense mix. Yet it retains the original feel of the relationship between guitar and amp that is so crucial and unique to every guitarist. The Lightspeed Organic Overdrive is a very natural sounding overdrive. Why "organic"?  Well, simply put, it's the clearest, most natural feeling, and best overdrive we've heard for the player looking for a natural drive tone.  Blending with the tone of the guitar and amplifier, this pedal has rich harmonics and complex but smooth clipping.
