For sale is a 1983–1984 Fender Squier JV Contemporary ST-554 Stratocaster, Made in Japan at the famed Fujigen factory during the original JV era. This is from the first wave of Fender Japan production when build quality rivalled - and often exceeded -contemporary USA output.

These JV Squiers were not ā€œbudgetā€ guitars as the name later implied. They were part of Fender Japan’s flagship early production and are now widely respected among collectors and players alike.

This example is a true player-grade guitar with real character and real playability.
